EAST 77th STREET:

This project involved the renovation of a four-bedroom apartment in a recently built tower on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. The clients came to us about this project after living in an apartment we had previously designed on the Bowery. They made the decision to move to the Upper East Side to be closer to their son’s school and to accommodate their expanding family. They loved the openness of their Bowery loft and the way the spaces flowed together, with the use of rich colors and textures. We wanted to create a similar living space in the context of a contemporary tower on the Upper East Side.

We opened up the kitchen to the living area and the extensive city views beyond. To further the interaction of the spaces, we wrapped a richly stained walnut wall from the living room into the kitchen. Lighting and natural materials were used to highlight and emphasize the architectural elements. Credits.
